Description
Pregabalin is a medication used to treat nerve pain caused by conditions such as diabetes (diabetic neuropathy), shingles (postherpetic neuralgia), spinal cord injury, or fibromyalgia. It is also used to treat certain types of seizures in people with epilepsy when combined with other medications. Pregabalin works by affecting the way that nerves send pain signals to the brain, helping to reduce pain and control seizures. It belongs to a class of medications called anticonvulsants or antiepileptics.
Directions
- Take Pregabalin exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider, usually 2-3 times per day, with or without food.
- Swallow the capsule whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or break the capsule.

Special Precautions
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of kidney disease, heart problems, depression, or substance use disorder before starting Pregabalin.

- Alcohol or certain other medications (such as sedatives) can increase the risk of severe drowsiness and dizziness when taken with Pregabalin. Avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking this medication.
- If you have diabetes, monitor your blood sugar levels closely, as Pregabalin may cause weight gain, which could affect blood sugar control.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women should discuss the risks and benefits of using Pregabalin with their healthcare provider, as it may not be safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
